ADHD, Me, & UNC Monthly Meetings

Attend any or all of the following monthly events to connect with peers and learn more about succeeding as a student with ADHD.

  • Thursday, September 12th: Tips and tools especially helpful for students with ADHD
  • Thursday, October 10: Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about ADHD medication
  • Thursday, November 14th: Topic TBD

ADHD / LD Peer Support Coaching Group

Do you have ADHD or think you do? Join the Learning Center’s ADHD Peer Connect, a support and skills coaching group for UNC undergraduate students with ADHD. ADHD Peer Connect will help participants build support and skills to be academically and personally successful at UNC. Explore ADHD as a college student, set goals for your semester and beyond, identify unhelpful patterns and make changes, discover and build on your strengths, tackle procrastination and manage your time, and develop accountability. Carolina Women in STEM

Are you a woman in or considering a STEM field? Join us for our Carolina Women in STEM colloquium series to learn more about careers in STEM fields and connect with other women in STEM. Want a strong academic start to the semester? Join the Learning Center’s Start Strong Academic Coaching Group! Set goals. Create action plans. Get support and accountability from fellow students and Learning Center staff. Achieve your academic goals and dreams!

2019 Annual Burnett Seminar

The topic of the 18th Annual Timothy B. and Jane A. Burnett Seminar for Academic Achievement is Thinking Beyond Normal: How to Live, Learn and Thrive Outside the Lines, featuring Jonathan Mooney, renowned writer, neuro-diversity activist and author.

The Burnett Seminar targets parents of teens and young adults with ADHD/LD. Its mission is to inspire this population that success in life is possible.

Long Night Against Procrastination (LNAP)

Make progress on your papers and projects during the Long Night Against Procrastination (LNAP)! Come join us to jumpstart your academic assignments with snacks and prizes. Librarians and coaches will be on hand to help!

GET WORK DONE.

  • Bring a laptop + that project you’ve been putting off.
  • Drop in anytime during the event to take advantage of our study space.
  • Bring a friend or settle down on your own—however you work best!
