Fall 2023
The Writing Center’s Fall and Spring hours are:
- Monday through Thursday, 10-8
- Friday, 10-4
- Sunday, 3-7
The Writing Center’s Summer Hours are M-F 10-4.
All times are Eastern Time.
In-person appointments will be available in 0127 SASB North and 221 Greenlaw, and any appointment can be converted to Zoom after it’s been scheduled. Students may also submit a draft online for asynchronous feedback.
The Student and Academic Services Building (SASB) North
The Writing Center’s main location is in the Student and Academic Services Building North (SASB), located at the intersection of Manning Drive and Ridge Road on the south end of the UNC campus.
This is the same building where Student Account Services and the Registrar are located.
SASB is located adjacent to Morrison dorm and close to the Rams Head complex, the Department of Public Safety, and the Dean Smith Center. Parking is available at the nearby Rams Head parking deck; there is a fee.
The Writing Center’s space, located on the basement/lower level of the building, is accessible. You can take the stairs or an elevator from the first floor, or you can enter the building from the back via the loading dock.
Greenlaw Hall, Room 221
The Writing Center operates a satellite space in Greenlaw Hall, Room 221. This space is generally open fewer hours. Greenlaw Hall is located near Davis Library, the Student Stores, and the Student Union. There is no parking here except what you may find at meters.
