Citing Sources
To learn about citing sources using MLA, APA, Chicago, or CSE/CBE style, please visit the UNC Libraries citation tutorial. The tutorial contains up-to-date information on what to cite and how to cite it in each of these styles. The Libraries also link to citation builders, such as ZoteroBib, that may help you properly format citations for your reference list if you are using one of these citation styles. If the citation tutorial does not answer your citation question, please visit the reference desk of Davis Library, the Undergraduate Library, or the Health Sciences Library and consult the citation manual for the style you are using. If you are using another citation style, such as AMA or Vancouver, please see your librarian for more information.
For information about reference management software, please see the Libraries’ pages on citation management software and software comparison.
For information about avoiding plagiarism, please see the Writing Center’s handout on plagiarism or schedule an appointment to talk with one of our coaches. For information on UNC’s Honor Code, which includes a section on plagiarism, please see the Instrument of Student Governance.
