To request that your name be added to the Writing Center's Help for Hire board, please fill out the form below; be sure to focus on your qualifications and experience as an editor, teacher of writing, or ESL instructor. After you submit the form, a Writing Center staff member will contact you by email. Answers to questions marked internal use only will not appear on the public advertisement.

You must be a resident of the Triangle area of North Carolina to be listed. You must have a graduate degree. We reserve the right to refuse requests for any reason and to edit ads for length or relevance; we also reserve the right to remove any ad at our discretion at any time after it is posted, without prior notice. Please note that the Writing Center assumes no responsibility for clients' interactions with editors/tutors. We recommend that face-to-face meetings between editors/tutors and clients take place in a public location.

**We would like to make you aware of a common scam: a person abroad may email you saying that their child will be coming to the United States for a period of time and will need a tutor. The person may ask to send you a check for an amount that would cover both your fees and some of the child's other expenses, requesting that you give the excess amount to a nanny, family member, etc. who will be caring for the child. The scammer is trying to get your contact information and, eventually, information about your bank account. We recommend that you ignore emails of this kind, and that you vet any non-local clients with particular care.**
