Writing Feedback Is Just One Click Away…

Whether you need help getting started on an important writing assignment or want a fresh set of eyes to review your final draft, share your draft with us online and one of our experienced writing coaches will provide helpful feedback.

For best results, be as specific as you can about your concerns with your writing project. Our coaches rely on the information you give us to craft useful and relevant responses.

How Long Will It Take To Get Feedback? Check The Weather.

When our sun symbol is shining, the skies are clear and you can expect feedback in 1-2 business days. When the sun isn’t shining and you need a quick response, you should seek feedback elsewhere or try to schedule a face-to-face appointment.
Tip: Keep refreshing the appointment calendar. It is updated in real time.

Prioritizing Submissions

Writing assignments submitted by degree-seeking undergraduate students receive first priority, followed by those submitted by graduate students. If you are not a current undergraduate, please understand that we will try to get to you but the weather symbol will not accurately reflect the wait time.

Undergraduate students may have a total of two writing sessions per week. Both online and face-to-face sessions count toward this limit.

Weekend Submissions

You can submit a draft at any time, but we will only respond when the Writing Center is open. If you submit on Friday, you are unlikely to receive a response before Monday.

Quick Question?

Have a quick question? Try the Writing Center’s chat service, available Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.

Changing Your Mind

You may realize at some point after submitting your draft that you no longer need feedback. If that happens, email us so we can remove your submission from the queue and help the next person in line.

Technical Difficulties

For best results, use the most current version of Firefox. Safari and Chrome may produce mixed results. Internet Explorer does not work well with this software application.
