For the past six years, I have taught university-level courses in writing, the last three at an Ivy League school. I have over ten years of experience coaching creative and critical writing projects at all levels–from the application essay to the dissertation and book manuscript. Marv Axelrod, specializes in Accent Reduction for foreign students. Often, the situation is one where the student has a considerable vocabulary and a more than average command of grammar. However,when it comes to correct pronunciation there is work to be done. By working with the foreign student, it is possible in a short time to reduce their foreign accent and as a result understand and be understood with greater authenticity.
I offer editing services for abstracts, papers, essays and presentations. I cater especially to scientists, but am happy to work with anyone. In addition to editing I can also help with preparation of academic presentations, speeches to the public, press releases, or even lesson plans. I have experience publishing, presenting, and teaching science and would like to share my expertise. Willing to meet in person or work online. I have been teaching college English composition courses for five years.
