Marv Axelrod

Marv Axelrod, specializes in Accent Reduction for foreign students. Often, the situation is one where the student has a considerable vocabulary and a more than average command of grammar. However,when it comes to correct pronunciation there is work to be done. By working with the foreign student, it is possible in a short time to reduce their foreign accent and as a result understand and be understood with greater authenticity.

Justin Baumann

I offer editing services for abstracts, papers, essays and presentations. I cater especially to scientists, but am happy to work with anyone. Clifton Coufal

Elizabeth Shestak

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, followed by a Master’s of Journalism degree from the University of Maryland, I am well-equipped to coach, edit, and review any kind of writing on whatever level the client so chooses. I am a graduate of the master’s program at the School of Journalism at UNC. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, done magazine writing and editing and worked for public radio as a producer. I now focus mainly on editing and writing, and most recently have edited lengthy research reports for social justice groups, magazine pieces for an online literary magazine, and personal essays. I have a M.Ed. in Global Education Policy, a B.A. in International Education and I am TESOL certified, with adult ESL instruction and tutoring experience through the Orange County Literacy Council. Silvia Villar

I am a Fiction and Non-Fiction Literature published Writer, Translator, and Proofreader (Random House, Mondadori, Barcelona-Spain) with a Master’s in Creative Writing by the University Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona. I am finishing my Ph D Dissertation in Teaching Languages and Literatures by the University of Barcelona. I have taught Composition, Essay, Literature, and Spanish Language at all levels, last three at a Ivy League University in North Carolina . Likewise, I am English as a Second Other Language K-12 Certified teacher, and have assisted an important number of non-English speaking students to achieve their goals in reference with their command of Academic, and Technical English (reading and writing). Lately, I have added a field to my specialties as a tutor: English Literature. I am in love with languages (I speak four, being bilingual from birth), and I believe in their potential to make an outstanding statement about one’s abilities, and potential particularly by a correct command, and mastery of the language in all type of texts.
